The Board of Directors has changed a bit for 2010. We have a new president and vice president(s) as well as new board members. Annual Winter Holiday Party

This year, we will be celebrating our annual winter holiday party a little bit later this year. The event is on Saturday January 9, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Lori Arosteguy's new bakery, Cake (www.cakedenver.com), 3832 Tennyson St Denver CO 80212). This will be a potluck meal and we ask that you bring a dish to share as well as a beverage to share (bottle of wine, six pack, soda). We'll see if we can convince Olentzero to come this year even though he'll probably have returned to his mountain home by then. Elko Nevada Basque Dancers to perform in Colorado at Mendiko Jaia 2009

The long awaited news from Elko, Nevada is good news. Coloradoko Euskal Etxea is honored to have the Elko Arinak Basque Dancers of the Elko Euzkaldunak Club perform at the 2009 Menidko Jaia on Saturday August 22, 2009. To see the dancers perform, download the picnic reservation form and return it by August 8, 2009.

Winner! Mendiko Jaia T-Shirt Design

Eskerrik asko to Joey Suazo, Michael Matassa Sr. and Michael Matassa Jr. for their entries into the contest. After a close vote, the design submitted by Michael Matassa Jr. became the design for the very first Mendiko Jaia T-shirt design contest.

Mendiko Jaia T-Shirt Design Contest!

The designs are in! The winner will receive $50, two free t-shirts and, of course, BRAGGING RIGHTS! Voting by the membership will take place online between June 1, 2009 and June 15, 2009 and winners will be announced by the Board, June 22, 2009. The shirts will be available for sale to all members, friends and family on July 1, 2009.
